Synopsis

During that moment of exposure where the photograph is created, the camera opens to a burst of light in order to freeze a frame of particular interest to the photographer in order to create the image. This is a very direct and controlled process of making imagery. However to remove the control of a composed imageand the balance of light in the scene is a method of challenging the photographer. This body of work explores to challenge myself as a photographer and work with the light in balance with darkness. Taking a process of walking through almost pitch dark surroundings, and using flash to capture what is surronding me in the enviroment I am in. It is not until the film is processed where the discovery can be made of where I have been and what is around. This series explores the revaltory nature of photography.
